Fairfield Methodist Church. 26th June 20
Announce with sadness & regret that a decision has been made by the trustees to apply to the Manchester & Stockport District Synod to cease public worship.
The decision has been hard for the trustees to make but they believe it is the only option available to allow them to close with dignity.
There are a number of reasons for this decision including the age of the trustees and the Coronavirus pandemic.
Fairfield Methodist Church is a modern comfortable building on the north side of Buxton.
Our Church is home to a welcoming, generous and caring small group of older people who witness the love of Christ.
Our services are held each Sunday Morning at 10:30am followed by "Fairtrade" tea and coffee.
Our minister is Rev Andrew Parker who is also one of two Superintendent's in he High Peak Partnership .
A little more about us........
Although few in number and with an "older" age profile we are doing our best to support our community. Our mission is towards older people and our activities see below bring people into our Church each week.
Our Church is within easy walking distance of Fairfield Estate which has areas of social deprivation and also by contrast we are close to the Peak District National Park with its fantastic scenery.
We try to make coming through our door as easy as possible. We hope you will come to our Church. If you do come you will be very welcome. Our door is open for you.
